September 2023 committee meeting

Dear club members of our dearest ArgentinaFC, here's summary our club committee meeting from yesterday, in an effort to share more of the work that goes behind the scene

Members of the Committee engaged in very deep discussions.

First of all, big thanks to Angie for hosting the meeting.

Attendees present on the occasion : Contra, Pulga, Juano, Faca, Tincho, Angie, Rodri, and Laucha. Juli couldn't make it but let us know in advance.

Now, let's get into the important stuff, with the key actions in bold:

Chairman:

  • Awareness of timekeeping and gender stereotypes.

  • Emphasized the need to focus conversations on the overall teams.

  • To put "Cominotas" on the website blog. DONEE

  • Create a Google Form for potential new club members/players to sign up.

Social Officer:

  • Tasked with creating objectives for social events to raise funds for the club.

  • Also, needs to draft job descriptions for delegates on the ground.

  • Working on a plan to follow up on payments from asados.

  • Going to set up an announcements-only WhatsApp group for social activities for both women and men members.

Disciplinary Officer:

  • Communicated 7 disciplinary rules at the male teams training, to share with Angie to adapt to the women's teams.

  • Decided that the first yellow card would be paid by the player for non-sport behaviour.

Women's Sports Update:

  • The season is finished, but it'll start again in September until January 2024, with two teams playing on Wednesdays at Hyde Park one after the other

  • Julia is doing a great job as a personal trainer.

  • Studying the potential to charge a monthly fee.

  • Exploring the possibility of expanding to 7-a-side.

  • Considering joining Club des Sport in Acton with male teams, although Thursdays might not be ideal.

Charity Officer:

  • Successfully concluded the "Play for Arroyo" feedback session.

  • Sent £800 to the school and provided trainers and clothes to the children.

  • The next charity football tournament is pinceled down for 15/06/24.

  • Looking for another venue to host the tournament that allows us to play music

  • Contact with Aparu through Juano.

  • All transfers are to be shared with ArgentinaFc email.

Male Captain Update:

  • Teams are doing well.

  • The next game in Aspire venue is at 3 pm.

  • Consider adding bookings for next year and possibly sharing pitch costs with the women's team.

Finance Officer:

  • Keeping track of penalties for goalkeepers on stats.

  • Collaborating with women captains and the CEO to open a Barclays account.

  • To propose a pro-bono auditor.

Secretary & Comms Officer:

  • Done a new Google Calendar for events.

  • Trying to resolve booking issues at Aspire, considering Wandsworth as option B.

  • To confirm sponsorship opportunity with “famous Argi Company starting with G”...

  • Highlighted last weekend Team 2.0's young-age ref to the league.

  • Searching for photographers to update picture stock.

  • Considering combining posts for Male 1.0 and 2.0 news.

  • Highlighted Guasho great work with “Legends” posts.

Sports Director through CEO:

  • The male teams’ Pre-Season was very well organized and results were seen at the start of the league.

  • Thursday Trainings are challenging due to the big number of players, with the new training plan still being tested and adapting

CEO

  • On the hunt for a place to host Asados after they won’t have us back on the last pub...

  • Working individually with committee members on each department matters.


And that's a wrap! Unfortunately, we did not need to take decisions by vote this time which always makes the thing more interesting, but it was a productive session and the plans are in motion.
